Self Development
Ways of understanding yourself. Learning from experiences and applying them to your life. Stages of Personal Development and Self-Growth. Accountability.
Résumé Building
Understanding the importance of a résumé involves résumé formatting (Chronological or Functional), parts of a résumé, building a résumé, and drafting a cover letter (optional).
Employment
What defines employment? What Can A Job Teach You? This course provides a breakdown of job descriptions, types of Work-shifts, types of Positions, different employment types, and job hunter skills. Participants will recognize how experience applies to employment, conduct a practice (Mock) interview, ways of maintaining a job and use the value of networking.
Financial Literacy
Everything about money, income, debt, and banking: participants will learn what defines a cost, creditworthiness, taxes, and more.
Professionalism
What makes someone a professional? Participants will learn what is acceptable and not, proper use of social media (netiquette), communication, ethics (Code of Conduct), time management, and some job skills.

*We will conduct workshops in Central and South Louisiana in the initial phase.*
First, fill out the Workshop request form to see if an on-site live workshop is possible. Second, JCS will send you our Live Workshop Survey; 5 questions allow JCS to determine which courses to conduct and the participants' relevant knowledge. *We ask that you provide a survey for each interested participant.* Third, JCS will coordinate with all parties involved to ensure the best approach and value.
